BC Cancer Foundation Cars and Cocktails

On the evening on October 4 at Alfa Romeo of Victoria, The BC Cancer Foundation held an informational session titled, 'Cars and Cocktails'. It brought together volunteers, supporters, members, donors, and medical professionals together for a night to share the work in our community and how funds are being allocated for lifesaving equipment.

The main topic was for a new PET/CT scanner for Vancouver Island which hopefully gives access to the 1,400 patients that travelled to Vancouver last year. With others who are too fragile to travel, the new scanner serves to provide local access to understanding medical options for those patients.

Dr Peter Tonseth led many of the guests through the process and explained the urgency for this technology on Vancouver Island. Many of the attendees appreciated each of the stations that were informative and beneficial in understanding how it matches their personal values and how they can help.

As guests dined on canapés, it was a beautiful mixer for everyone to understand how this community comes together in support of the work at the BC Cancer Foundation.

The GAIN Group is a proud supporter of the organization and happy to provide the venue for the foundation to share their information and essential work they do for the community.
